8 down!

Only... 52 more to go! Yay! lol

I'll get there... no doubt. I currently weigh in at 203.5 , which really means I've lost 8 1/2 pounds, but that half doesn't mean much, it could change easily the next time you hit the scale, so I always round down.

I believe I said in another entry that I wanted to lose about 50 pounds... but that was before Mother's Day too... ha ha. I really need to lose 60 total to reach my goal, but since I've lost 8, I'm ready to lose the original 50 and then some if I need to. I've been working hard for about 3 weeks now, and I'm seeing a drastic change in the amount of weight I use when I lift. I'm afraid to go up too much more on some exercises... I don't want to look like a body builder, I just want to get the fat off and tone up. Of course, since I have to carry a bunch of extra weight on my frame, my legs are the strongest muscles I have. Right now I'm lifting 270 on the leg press... and I could go higher. What's funny is that my upper body is pathetic... lol. I'm doing only 10 pounds on the isolated bench press ( I use isolated because you can't use one arm to help the other, and you don't need a spotter), and that's not counting the weight of the machine... so I'm actually lifting more than that, but it's still funny to watch others lift this thing with 3-45 pound plates on each side, and here I am with two "baby plates" (the ten-pounders... used fives last week...lol). I'm getting there though, I just have to keep at it and remember what stopped me the last time...
